30th Street

From a completely derelict back yard to a functioning habitat, 30th Street underwent a major transformation. The goal was to create a multi-use space that can be used for sports, social gatherings, gardening and leisure. We equipped this space with a microclover low-care lawn, a massive array of native plantings, in-ground garden bed, raised herb garden, fruiting shrubs and trees. A patio was created out of found bricks and the addition of some mixed shaped bluestone. During the demolition phase we uncovered buried stones from an old carriage house which became a unique staircase that looks like it always existed. From the serviceberry providing first fruit nibbles in spring to the goldenrods and asters in the fall there is never a dull moment in this yard.
