Space shaping
Re thinking existing or new spaces can often feel like a daunting and undesirable task. Habit thrives on opportunities to concept and shape spaces together. From cluttered overgrown back yards to small balconies and everything in-between. We offer design to build solutions for all spaces. See portfolio for work examples.
Stewarding
Stewardship is a core tenant of Habits mission. We humans have been stewarding land and non human life forms since time immemorial. It is in all of us to care and steward. We love nothing more than to educate and empower people to learn and tend to spaces. We also understand it’s not for everyone and offer maintenance plans to fit all needs.
Plant care & maintenance
There is a myth of the self sustaining garden. Alas this doesn’t not exists, all gardens require our care and love to thrive. However low maintenance and garden light solutions do exist. Habit offers full maintenance plans for those who are un able or prefer not to care for their garden. For those who enjoy getting their hands dirty we offer a minimal visit and on call plan for essential maintenance and advice.
Instillation
Every install is treated with the utmost care and attention to material use and sourcing. When possible we try to work with existing material and remove as little as possible. We work with vendors who use sustainable products made to last. Soil, plants and structural materials are sourced as locally as possible.
Native plants
It is important to us that we use majority native species in our landscapes. We consider each ecologically beneficial garden an island bridging from one to the next. With the depletion of our insect population which is the bottom of our food chain, we believe our gardens can play an important role in ecological restoration while still providing beauty.
